Can I go to mediation?

It is often appropriate to make a referral to mediation. This will involve you and your partner (or ex-partner), meeting an independent mediator. The purpose of the meeting will be to try to reach agreement relating to anything in dispute such as arrangements for children, or financial and property issues following the breakdown of a relationship. Mediation is not always appropriate but it can be useful, in many cases.
